Wheat Kings

Another really hot day like plus 32, so we decide to go out for HotPot soup good idea eh....well actually it is! It's a cook it yourself kinda deal with all the fixins and man is it good, and messy, I got kimchi and soup broth all over my white shirt, I was quite pissed off about that that's why I'm not in the pictures. Still eating where did the beer go?Today's breakfast/lunch was roll or sushi, whatever ya like to call it....this was the spicy California and it was really good.
Ms D with her veggie roll and our tempura appetizer, this place was so good after we were finished they gave us free I repeat free frozen yogurt for desert, just for being lovers in a dangerous time!

Remember the Red Dog beer that didn't make it in Canada, well it made it over here LOL fifth one from the top left!
These guys try to run me over because I won't eat their food!

So far this is the safest place to fish in Korea, all the tanks are packed with fish you never heard of. The idea is you pick your fish, they catch it for you, 10 min goes by and your eating! I have stayed clear of these places so far but lemme tell ya there everywhere!
See the little dude with the bucket.......

Phone Juseyo

Well the first day of work was OK I manged to bullshit my way through
I didn't have much of a choice because, my boss handed me a timetable and off I went with my cd and storybook in hand
It went by pretty fast and they feed you after. The director is an older Korean lady she came right out and said I was hot......I guess she likes me LOL
Today's after work adventure was to get a cell phone, So because I tried around the neighbourhood at various stores and had no luck, I took the subway to Migeum about a 15min event and tried my luck there. Mission accomplished, who said the language barrier was a problem? I actually got lucky, the salesman spoke konglish enough for him to understand what I was after. As I type this, there's a guy outside on a loud speaker yelling in Korean, I thought the war was breaking out and I was all freaked out, turns out he's just selling watermelons
Whew
We went into Seoul last night and holy shit the place is CRAZY
neon and people for miles and miles unfortunately I never had a chance to take pics
as we were celebrating one of Ms D's friends (now my friends) engagement.
A cool little bar with a completely open front, and trance techno music playin
almost like you were on a beach or something.
Hot pot soup tonight for supper
stay tuned!

It's A Good Life If You Don't Weaken

Went for a walk up the mountain behind our house, there is exercise equipment and park benches on the way up. I didn't walk too far because the bugs were brutal and I don't even know what kinda bugs they were so I was outta there! Teri's Lunch today a soft tofu chiggea or soup
My lunch today (and probably everyday) chamchi kim-bap or tuna roll freakin delicious!

Lots of scooters here, this one's a BMW

You lookin at my scooter?

Last nights supper was Pizza, not like the pizza your thinkin of, this was the Korean version of. Mexican pizza was the flavour and it was actually quite good! The yellow stuff around the inside edge is mashed sweet potato, Teri thinks it gross I think it's not bad! The crust is not at all hard so you have to eat it with a fork.
Were going into Seoul tonight, so there should be more crazy pics to follow, that is if my camera doesn't disintegrate from pollution! It won't be a late night though as I start my first job tomorrow and I need to be on the ball!

Gin Palace

A quiet street on the walk down to Teri's school, the green part I think is made of cork so it's easy on the feet!
A bridge over a not so quiet street, you have to really watch when your walking, as red lights for cars and walk signals for pedestrians are mearly a suggestion! This whole meal for Teri and I was $12 total. It's barley rice and about 15 different kinds of Kimchi mix it up add gochu peppers and hot sauce....God Dam it's tasty!

A room with a view

This Truck freaked me out and fogged me out at the same time, notice the cloud being pumped out the back, it fogs the whole street/area for bugs or something. I think it smells like roof tar I ran into a building the first time I saw it coming. However this shot was taken on the quiet street I showed earlier and there was no building to run into this time.I think he was following me hackhack, cough, spit!

Today we were at the grocery store, witch is a floor of huge department store anyhow we were in the fish section, I wanted to take a picture of the jumbo shrimp still with their heads on and the table of LIVE crabs that were crawling. Actually they were crawling/falling off the table, right in the middle of the aisle, however there is no pictures taken in grocery stores Who Knew??
Grocery shopping here is a whole different experience, there are people yelling(sometimes with megaphones) to buy whatever it is they're standing beside, forget trying to compare prices just get what you need and get out, trust me it's easier and better for your ears!

More later peeps
Cheers!

Morning Moon

A quiet street downtown Seohyeon Teri showing me all the good stuff to eat ! I can't remember the name, but it's a rice noodle in hot sauce ......delicious!
Watch for crabs in your fish broth! Halibut cooking in the fish broth on a stick!
A night view of Seohyeon, every street looks like this, ground to sky signage.
A day view of the same street!

The best spring rolls I ever had!

Notice the gas pumps are hanging, you can pull in anywhere and fill up! Genius idea!!

There doing some construction near my house, the sign they put up to let people know!
Freakin Hilarious!

Tonnes more pics to follow, just wanted to show ya'll a few shots of this bizzarre world!
I been here two days, I scored a job doing a morning kindergarden class from 10am-1pm everyday. I managed to get lost in the subway station trying to find my way back when there is 6 subway lines all going different directions you gotta pay attention...LOL
I found my train, made it to the bus station and said fuck this and walked about 40min home!
